SEGESTA
Local guide suggested
The archaeological park of Segesta, an important city of the Elymians, is a fascinating site located in the western part of Sicily.
Its main attraction is the 5th century B.C. Doric temple, one of the best preserved Doric temples in the world, despite the fact that it was never completed, probably due to the endless war between Segesta and Selinunte.
The temple, dedicated to Aphrodite Urania, stands majestically as if guarding this splendid archaeological site and has 36 imposing columns framing a breathtaking panorama.
Another attraction of Segesta is the Greek theatre, which is located on a hill and still has about 4,000 seats.
Even today, performances and plays are still staged in the theatre during the summer season, taking advantage of the acoustics.and performances taking advantage of the exceptional acoustics.

Winery in Marsala
Inside the winery, tours are guided by the winery staff.
Visiting a Sicilian winery is always an immersive experience combining culture, tradition and food and wine pleasures.

An expert guide will first give you information on the origins of the winery, the territory and the particularities of the wine produced by the winery.
Some wineries begin with a tour of the vineyards, describing the characteristics of the soil and the techniques used to produce the wine.
It continues by visiting the wine fermentation and ageing rooms and, often, the rooms with the barrels for ageing.
The visit ends with a tasting of 3 or 4 types of wine produced by the winery and a detailed explanation of each type of wine.
An experience that offers an immersion in the world of wine enriched by historical notes and references to Sicilian tradition.
